Tip #1 – Let go! Sometimes the easiest way to move is to let go of something. Consider clearing out the clutter in your garage, office, email or brain. Let go of things that aren’t relevant anymore because letting go not only creates a physical space for change, it can create mental and emotional space too.
Tip #2 – Live in the question. When we believe we have all the answers, we stop learning. Avoid answering questions about why this change is happening and stay curious. Write down questions you have about the change and resist answering them. This will allow new thoughts and alternatives to surface helping you see the change from different perspectives.
Tip #4 - Look back! Sometimes the best way to move is to recognize movement and look at how far you’ve come. This is a great conversation to be in with important people in your life. Where are you now versus a year ago? What changes have you lived through? What have you learned about yourself? What skills have you gained along the way to handle this new change?
Sometimes reflection is best and sometimes action is needed. Don’t ruminate – get moving. Clear clutter, ask questions, try something new and look back!
How do you handle the feeling of being “stuck”? What actions do you take?
