There are many things I appreciate about our “instant-gratification” world. I enjoy using twitter to get real-time news updates. I like using my smart phone to immediately pull up movie times, make a bank deposit or check the weather in my zip code. I love the convenience of using an app to pay for my Starbucks coffee and I’m not sure how I ever managed to navigate a city without MapQuest. I like to think I have successfully integrated modern convenience into how I live in the 21st century. However, I will never be successful doing relationships in the same manner. Relationships cannot be done in a hurry. Relationships require time and words. Not quick texts and abbreviations.
As you take stock of the important people in your life, where are you spending quality time and where have you defaulted to technology?
