Board Certified Coach, BCC - Carrie is credentialed through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE). CCE created the BCC credential as a means to independently verify that individuals have met professional coaching competency standards established by CCE and subject matter experts. These standards reflect the common knowledge, skills and abilities of a professional coach. The BCC is a mark of quality and it demonstrates to the public that a professional coach has met educational and training requirements, passed a psychometrically sound coach-specific examination and has a commitment to continuing education. The achievement of the Board Certified Coach credential solidifies the professional identity of the coach.
Georgetown University training - Carrie achieved her rigorous (ICF) accredited program coach training in Washington D.C. through The Georgetown University Center for Continuing and Professional Education. The program was over 150 hours of classroom instruction with an additional 10-20 hours of non-classroom learning over a seven month period. The program examined the links between coaching and organization development while emphasizing coaching skill development on three levels: learning about self as a coach and instrument of change, creating productive and fulfilling relationships in the coaching role, and understanding coaching within systems dynamics.
